Chapter 1: The Early Spark

My fascination with technology started early, sparked by the mesmerizing glow of a 8-bit art on Mac 512k in my childhood home in Indiana. Watching my dad create, I knew I'd found my calling: to harness the power of technology to bring ideas to life.

My journey led me from mastering DOS commands in Kentucky to conquering the digital frontier of early computer games in Ohio. By middle school, I was building online worlds and learning the nuances of design with tools like Photoshop. In sunny California, I discovered the magic of filmmaking and launched my first website, showcasing my artistic creations.

Back in Ohio, I honed my graphic design skills at Vantage Career Center, becoming fluent in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. For a decade, I had the privilege of serving my community at Creative Designs and Signs, creating everything from captivating signage to user-friendly websites.

Chapter 2: Blending Creativity with Human Connection

My passion for community led me to event production, where I thrived on orchestrating memorable experiences, from sporting events to art exhibitions. As a key member of the production team, I learned to identify challenges and implement solutions that streamlined operations and fostered a sense of belonging.

At James A. Rhodes State College and Bowling Green State University, I continued to refine my design and technology skills, collaborating on projects for the university bookstore and dining services. This experience ignited a passion for user-centered design – the art of creating intuitive and engaging experiences for everyone.

Chapter 3: Embracing the UX Journey

Portland, Oregon, with its vibrant tech scene and creative energy, became my new home in 2013. I've immersed myself in the world of UX design, expanding my skills through online courses, personal projects, and volunteering.

My background in event production has equipped me with a unique understanding of user needs and behaviors. I'm a natural mentor and action-taker, always eager to collaborate, solve problems, and bring a blend of creativity and efficiency to every project.
